Bridge the Designs to the Prints
Highly qualified production team with diversified print and packaging experiences, transforms the designs into vibrant printable artworks. The teams bring in the knowledge and experiences of varied printing industry to the artworks/mechanicals. So, with no boundaries to the process, printable artworks from gravure to flexo are produced at ALIA studio.
- The process mainly goes as below:
- Layouts: Placing the elements in the KLDs, optimizing within the limits.
- Guidelines: Mapping the brand guidelines to the print norms. Print precautions taken to preserve the brand.
- Colour Conversions: Separations and matching to get the correct colours. Understanding the effects of the printing colours and then toning the images/pictures accordingly.
- Science of Colours: Optimal utilization of colours exploring the printing environment. Predictive calculations of the colours and cylinders.
- Normalization: Harmonizing of the designs and the colours. Eliminating the skewness in the output which crops up due to different printing technologies and substrates.
- Translations: ALIA has worked on more than 15 foreign languages for text translations.
Print Actualization
- Printer Quotients: Collecting the print profiles from various printers and adapting the artworks to them using the state-of-art repro set up.
- Profile Matching: Using spectrophotometer to achieve enhanced accurate color matching, by reading the printer charts back into the computer. This improves the accuracy of the ICM (Image Color Management) printer profile, providing exceptionally high quality color definition unobtainable by normal profiling methods.
- File Analysis: For color and print related issues corrective actions are taken to bring systems and process' in control to a set method, standard or specification to achieve repeatable predictable results.
- Trapping: Trapping the files as per the printing specifications.
- Dot Control: Overcoming some of the main challenges of printing by controlling the dot loss/gain.
- Colour Management: With the State-of-Art Color Management Infrastructure from X-Rite & Star Proof, achieves predictable output.
